Programmes
Three programmes. Each covers one thing well.
Fjord Office does not try to be comprehensive in a single offering. Each programme is designed to address a specific, bounded aspect of personal financial understanding — and to address it thoroughly.

How we design our programmes.
Each programme at Fjord Office is structured around three principles: a defined scope, a written output, and enough time between sessions for the content to settle.
Defining scope means deciding, before the programme begins, exactly what will and will not be covered. This keeps sessions from drifting and ensures participants finish with a complete picture of the chosen topic rather than a partial picture of many topics.
Written outputs give participants something to return to. Financial information heard once in a session fades quickly. A completed template or a written plan stays useful far longer.
Pacing acknowledges that most financial decisions — and most shifts in financial understanding — benefit from reflection. We do not fill every available hour. We leave space for thinking.
Programme 01
Simple Yearly Review Workshop
A compact one-day workshop for individuals who would like to adopt a simple yearly financial review as a habit. The workshop walks through a seven-page written template covering the year's cash flow, EPF movement, outstanding obligations, insurance in force, and upcoming decisions.
Each participant fills in the template during the workshop using their own records, and leaves with a completed copy and a short plan for the next year's review. Held twice a year on Saturdays at the Gelugor office.
- Covers EPF, cash flow, obligations, and insurance in one template
- You complete the template with your own figures on the day
- Designed to be repeated annually as a personal habit
- Saturday format — minimal disruption to working week
How the day works
Morning: introduction to the seven-page template and why each section matters
Mid-morning: guided completion of cash flow and EPF sections using your own records
Afternoon: obligations, insurance, and upcoming decisions sections
Close: short plan for the following year's review, questions, and wrap-up

Programme 02
Understanding Investment Fees
A three-session programme devoted to a single subject: how fees actually behave across common Malaysian long-horizon investment products, including unit trusts, PRS, and exchange-traded funds.
Sessions walk through the stated fee structures, the effect of compounding fees over multi-decade horizons, how to read the relevant disclosure documents, and how to have a more informed conversation with an adviser. The programme does not recommend specific products; it teaches you to see fees clearly.
- Unit trusts, PRS, and ETFs covered in comparable terms
- Compounding fee effects shown over 10, 20, and 30-year horizons
- SC-mandated disclosure documents used as primary source material
- No product recommendations — literacy and evaluation only
Three-session structure
Session 1: Fee types, stated vs effective costs, and how to find them in disclosure documents
Session 2: Compounding fee models across unit trusts, PRS, and ETFs over extended horizons
Session 3: Reading prospectuses, asking better questions, and practical next steps for your own review
Programme Fee
RM 1,380
Programme 03
Multi-Year Household Plan Engagement
A four-month engagement producing a written multi-year household plan covering the next three to five years. Meetings include a detailed listening session, three working sessions on cash flow, medium-term goals and risk, and a closing review where the plan is read line by line with the household.
The engagement does not propose specific financial products but does help the household set realistic priorities and checkpoints. Paced deliberately to encourage reflection between sessions.
- Covers three to five years in a single written document
- Built around your household's actual figures and circumstances
- Four months with deliberate spacing between sessions
- Closing review reads the plan with you, line by line
Four-month engagement structure
Month 1 — Listening session: current position, priorities, and what you'd like the plan to address
Month 2 — Working session on cash flow: income, expenses, and realistic projections
Month 3 — Working sessions on medium-term goals and risk: priorities and checkpoints for the plan period
Month 4 — Closing review: the completed written plan is read through together, section by section
Engagement Fee
RM 4,250
Which One
How to choose between them.
The three programmes serve different purposes and are appropriate at different stages. This table may help you identify where to begin.
| Yearly Review | Investment Fees | Household Plan | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Format | One-day workshop | 3 sessions | 4-month engagement |
| Best suited for | Building a review habit | Evaluating long-term products | Whole-household planning |
| Written output | Review template | Session notes | Multi-year plan |
| Time commitment | One Saturday | 3 evenings / Saturdays | 4 months (5 sessions) |
| Fee | RM 490 | RM 1,380 | RM 4,250 |
| Group or individual | Small group | Small group (max 6) | One-on-one |
If you are unsure where to begin, the Yearly Review Workshop is a practical starting point for most people. Send us a note and we will share our honest view of which programme, if any, seems relevant to your situation.
Standards
How we maintain the quality of each programme.
Annual content update
All programme materials are reviewed against the current year's EPF contribution structure, SC fee disclosure requirements, and relevant LHDN treatment before each cohort.
Participant privacy
Personal financial records shared during sessions are not retained after an engagement closes. Handled in accordance with PDPA 2010.
Limited cohort sizes
Workshop sizes are capped so each participant can ask questions. The household engagement is always one-on-one.
No product affiliations
Fjord Office holds no agent registration and receives no commission or referral income from any financial institution or product provider.
Documented outcomes
Every programme concludes with a written document. The quality of that document is the primary measure we use to assess whether a programme worked.
Factual, balanced content
We present information as it is. We do not advocate for particular products, asset classes, or investment strategies.
Fees
Clear pricing, nothing hidden.
