1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Website or registering for a Programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you are registering on behalf of a household or a third party, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to these terms.

Your continued use of the Website or completion of a Programme registration constitutes acceptance of these terms in their current version.

3. Description of Programmes

Fjord Office provides structured financial education programmes for individuals and households. Programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute financial advice, financial planning services, or investment advisory services as defined under Malaysian securities or financial services legislation.

Programmes are offered primarily in Penang and are currently available to residents of Malaysia. Availability is subject to cohort capacity and scheduling. Fjord Office reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a programme if minimum participant numbers are not met, with reasonable notice given.

4. Programme Enrolment

4.1 Registration

Enrolment in a Programme is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Places are allocated on a first-confirmed basis. Registering through the website enquiry form does not itself constitute a confirmed booking.

4.2 Programme preparation

Some programmes require participants to bring their own financial documents (e.g., EPF statements, insurance policy schedules). Preparatory instructions will be provided upon enrolment. Fjord Office is not responsible for outcomes affected by a participant's failure to bring required materials.

4.3 Participation

Participants are expected to engage constructively and honestly with programme materials. The accuracy of any written output (such as a completed review template or household plan) depends in part on the accuracy of information provided by the participant.

5. Payment Terms

All programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless otherwise noted. Current fees are:

Payment details will be provided upon confirmed interest. Fjord Office accepts bank transfer and online payment where available. Full payment is required prior to attending the first session of any programme.

5.1 Refund policy

Cancellations received more than 14 days before a programme start date are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations received between 7 and 14 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable. Transfers to a future cohort are permitted at the discretion of Fjord Office.

6. Intellectual Property

All programme materials — including written templates, session notes, frameworks, and digital content — are the intellectual property of Fjord Office. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials for their own individual or household purposes.

Participants may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or adapt programme materials without prior written permission from Fjord Office.

7. Disclaimers

Fjord Office programmes are educational in nature. Nothing in any programme constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or licensed financial planning. Participants should consult a licensed financial adviser for decisions specific to their circumstances.

Fjord Office does not warrant that programme content will be suitable for every participant's situation. Financial information and regulatory details are reviewed annually but may not reflect the most recent legislative or product changes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Fjord Office's liability arising from any programme or engagement is limited to the fee paid for that programme. Fjord Office is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including financial decisions made by participants following a programme.

This limitation does not apply to liability arising from fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Fjord Office against claims, losses, and costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of programme materials, or the provision of inaccurate information during a programme engagement.

10. Confidentiality

Fjord Office treats all personal financial information shared during programme engagements as confidential. Such information will not be disclosed to third parties. Participants are similarly requested to treat information shared by other group participants (where applicable) in confidence.

11. Termination

Fjord Office may terminate a participant's enrolment if they engage in disruptive, harmful, or dishonest conduct during a programme. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

Participants may withdraw from a programme at any time, subject to the refund policy in Section 5.1. Clauses relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from a programme or this Agreement will first be subject to good-faith informal negotiation between the parties. If unresolved, disputes will be referred to mediation through a mutually agreed Malaysian mediator before any legal proceedings are initiated.

The courts of Penang, Malaysia shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings.

13. General Provisions

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Fjord Office regarding programme participation. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Failure by Fjord Office to enforce any provision does not waive its right to enforce it in the future.

Fjord Office may not assign obligations under this Agreement without your consent. You may not assign your enrolment or rights under this Agreement to another party.

14. Changes to These Terms

Fjord Office may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the Website or participation in a Programme after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
